In most schools, there is a mandatory dress code that students must follow. Some of these rules regard dressing seductively. It is said to be a distraction when students show to much skin and show off their bodies so rules are enforced such as, no mid-drifts, no ripped jeans, shorts longer than your fingertips, etc. Also, clothing with references to drugs, alcohol, and violence are also restricted. Some schools go crazy with the dress codes, and some lack any type of restrictions. Do you think that schools should be strict about dress codes, or lay off a little? Why?
I think schools should be relatively strict about dress codes, but they still need to lay off a bit. I understand about the length of shorts, but by the time they are fingertip length you cant even call them shorts anymore. And i also think rips in the jeans are okay, as long as nothing is showing that will be distracting. It is good to be a little strict about the dress code so people dress appropriately, but i definitely think they need to lay off a bit.
ReplyDeletei think you should be able to wear whatever you want as long as your not revealing anything. Making people follow restrictions on what they can wear isnt right.
ReplyDeleteI think that schools need to be semi-strict about the dress code. If there was no dress code kids would take advantage of that and it would deffinitly be a problem. Some kids are responsible and know what is and what is not appropriate to wear to school, others are not. Also, i think it is important to watch what kids are wearing because it can be a distraction to others.
